Privacy Policy
TambolaCaller.com ("we", "us", "the site") is a free Tambola (Housie) number caller and ticket generator. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the game. This page explains what information is collected, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information you give us
- Party / event name — the name you type to print on tickets. It is saved only in your own browser (see "Local storage" below) and is not sent to us.
- Player name in Party Rooms — if you join a multiplayer Party Room, the display name you enter, your generated tickets and your room code are stored on our realtime database so the host and other players in that room can see them.
- Emails you send us — if you contact us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.
We do not ask for your phone number, address, payment details or any account sign-up.
2. Party Rooms (multiplayer)
Party Rooms use Supabase as a realtime backend. When a host creates a room, we store the room code, the game settings, the numbers called and a random host ID. When a player joins, we store their display name and ticket numbers. This data exists only to run the live game and is not used for advertising. Please don't use your full name or any sensitive information as a player name — a first name or nickname works perfectly.
3. Local storage on your device
The site uses your browser's local storage to remember small settings between visits: your event name, voice and language choice, your player name, and the room you last hosted or joined. This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
4. Voice caller
Number announcements use your browser's built-in text-to-speech. The audio is generated on your device; we don't record or receive any audio.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example, page views, which features are popular (such as creating a room), device type and approximate country or city. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. This information is aggregated and helps us improve the site. 6. Advertising and cookies
To keep TambolaCaller.com free, we may show ads served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- If personalised ads are turned off, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time.
7. Children
Tambola is a family game and children often play alongside adults. However, the site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A parent or adult should create Party Rooms. If you believe a child has entered personal information in a Party Room, contact us and we will delete it.
8. How long we keep data
Party Room data is kept only as long as needed to run games and is periodically deleted. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access or delete any Party Room data linked to your name, or any email correspondence, by writing to us. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California or the DPDP Act in India), you may have additional rights, and we will honour them.
10. No gambling
TambolaCaller.com is built for social, just-for-fun play. We do not take bets, handle money or offer cash prizes.
11. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
